Depends on what games you play. Keyboards have hotkeys for certain commands or binds as you know. So I wouldn't recommend a big-ass expensive keyboard if you only play shooters. I haven't really had much experience with the keyboards as I still use the one enclosed with the computer, but I heard that the Black Widow was a really good model (expensive though).
So I'd recommend that you get yourself a keyboard that is known for being reliable. Logitech or Microsoft stuff or whatever there is, suit yourself.

As for a mouse, I had really good experiences with the Razer Diamondback, which unfortunately isn't available anymore :/
The mouse coming really close to the Diamondback would be the Razer Abyssus which is an improved version, if I could describe it. It's really good in terms of comfort and accuracy. It will show malfunctions after like 5-6 years (at least that's what my mouse endured. Daily gaming for several hours), so it's also high quality.

Oh yeah, the XBOX360 ONZA controller seems to be less sturdy than it looks. Think about returning it...wouldn't really go for it too, it's like a prototype.

Yes, however, their sturdyness is questionable. Analog sticks seem to break really fast (aiming/walking upwards for example).
